City Council meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month [unless the Monday is a Federal holiday, then it would be on Tuesday]. The Work Session begins at 3:30 p.m. and the official meeting at 4:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. There is a public comment period at each meeting where attendees are allowed some time to ask questions or make comments. People are also able to monitor the meetings online by following the TEAMS link posted on the Home page of this website before each meeting.

Re: Coleraine Water

At the Special Meeting yesterday, the City Council decided, as a one-time courtesy, to discount all August utility bills $34, the water portion of the bill. We appreciate your patience!

Rest assured, there is no bacteria present. Water going into the lines is clear. The discoloration is iron & manganese that builds up inside the pipes.

Hydrant flushing is being done a different way than in the past; it is 90% more effective in doing what flushing is intended to do. The flushing dislodges the build-up, which is necessary, but it results in some discoloration, which can be unpleasant.

If you have discoloration, please run an OUTSIDE faucet hose or water your lawn until it clears, 4-5 hours at a time.
